Kamala Harris

 Kamala Devi Harris is an American politician from the United States. Born on October 20, 1964, she is the 49th Vice-President of the United States. Kamala Devi Harris is the first female elected vice president, and she is also the most powerful female officer in the history of America. As a member of the Democratic Party, she was the attorney general for California between 2011 and 2017 and was a United States senator representing California from 2017 to 2021. Harris was born and was raised in Oakland, California. Her professional career started with the Alameda County District Attorney's Office. Harris was later recruited to the San Francisco District Attorney's Office. In 2003, she was elected San Francisco District Attorney. Harris was elected Attorney-General of California in 2010 and was elected again in 2014. Harris was the junior United States Senator from California between 2017 and 2021. Harris defeated Loretta Sánchez during the 2016 Senate elections to become the second African American woman, and the first South Asian American, to be senator in the United States Senate. As senator, she fought for healthcare reform, federal de-scheduling of cannabis, a pathway to citizenship for undocumented immigrants as well as the DREAM Act, a ban on assault weapons, as well as progressive tax reform. She is most famous for her sharp questions to Trump administration officials in Senate hearings.
